Aisha Jamila is an American actress who is best known for her roles on TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has demonstrated her range as an actress by giving impressive performances in television series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. In 2005, she received attention initially for her role as Anna In Assault on Precinct 13 Her appearance in the biographical film All the Way as the feminist campaigner Fannie Lou Hammer brought her to the attention of the world at large. Her portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground was also highly appreciated. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The series has been renewed for the third season with 20th Century Fox Television. Hind was recently shot the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. There is an older brother Aditya Rai, who is an engineer of the merchant navy. The brother of Bachchan co-produced and wrote the screenplay Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. After releasing Provoked: a True Story in English, she returned to Bollywood and was a part of the big-budget Dhoom: 2 (2007).
