Alison Doody
Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Her debut came in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. A photographer approached Doody. Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to an industry-related career in modelling. Doody was very cautious about doing glamorous or sexually explicit work. The same rule continued into the acting profession. Once she caught the attention of the director of casting in an upcoming James Bond movie, she participated in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising young actors of 1986. 38. Doody, who was only 18 when she played Doody in A Prayer to the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond girl who has a name to her. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody played an unseen role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias during his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking possibly her most famous role ever in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody appeared in the 1991 British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publication scam. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was a part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. In 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. Later, she guest-starred in RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to play the lead role in the remake of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she was awarded by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
