Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on the 6th of November in 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone
(nee Yeager), a homemaker & Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a
contractor company founder and CEO. She has Swedish and British Isles heritage.
Stone began acting in the ages of a child, as a member of the Valley Youth
Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in an adaptation of
Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". In her teens, Stone
appeared in many other productions until she made acting her profession.
According to the official account, she made an PowerPoint presentation, backed
up by Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood",
in attempt to persuade her parents to allow her to quit school and move to Los
Angeles. The pitch worked and she and her mother moved to LA and she completed
her schooling at home, while she spent her days auditioning. Her TV debut came
when she was cast as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the
Partridge Family (2004). This led to a variety of minor TV performances over
the course of the years. After a string of successful performances she was
chosen to take on the role of Jules in Superbad (2007). Her stardom as Olive in
Easy A (2010) followed by several more roles. She attended Xavier College
Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. Although she's known as a redhead, her natural
hair shade is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair
color for Superbad (2007) and she was so impressed that she chose to keep it.
At age 15, she convinced her parents to allow her to go to Hollywood by
presenting a PowerPoint presentation appropriately titled Project Hollywood. At
11 years old she started her acting career at the Valley Youth Theatre,
Phoenix, AZ. There, she was a part of 16 stage productions and performed in the
comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also acted at the Valley Youth Theatre.
